Denatonium Benzoate is the world's bitterest known substance.

Adding as little as thirty parts of Denatonium Benzoate to one million parts of a liquid makes that liquid too bitter to be tolerated by most human subjects. This denaturant has been thus described as the bitterest compound known.

Chemically, Denatonium Benzoate is a close relative of the local anesthetic lidocaine - its structure differs from lidocaine by the addition of a single benzyl group.

And because of its aversive reaction, Denatonium Benzoate is commonly added to household items such as toiletries and to outdoor products such as pesticides to prevent accidental poisonings.

In 1995, Oregon's legislature required antifreeze and windshield washer fluid to contain Denatonium Benzoate, and the adoption of this policy by other states should reduce the number of cases of ethylene glycol and methanol poisonings.

Denatonium treatment may discourage swallowing substantial amounts of noxious materials, but doesn't prevent problems incurred from ingestion of smaller quantities. The best method of reducing childhood poisoning is still the child-resistant closure.

Also, its ability to be tasted at extremely low levels allows an aerosol of diluted Denatonium to prove the proper fitting of gas masks and other respiratory protective apparatus.

Denatonium Benzoate is also a very effective denaturant for Ethanol. Denatonium Benzoate is used as denaturant in manufacture of Specially Denatured Ethanol.( SDA-40).

We have compiled data, which is the result of continuous research on Denatonium Products. This data clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of Denatonium Benzoate & other Denatonium products in preventing accidental poisoning

C Tech Corporation while doing this research identified 75 products commonly found in homes, which are poisonous to pets, similarly Children especially younger children are also at risk from these substances. Ingestion of these substances can cause death, it is wrong to call such deaths as accidental as these can easily be avoided by addition of very small quantities of Denatonium benzoate.

There are a small percentage of Taste Blind people, who lack taste buds due to a genetic malfunction, but these are very very rare. These Taste Blind people are unable to detect specific tastes. However we have not met or discovered such an individual.

The negative response to Denatonium's nasty taste (although the pocket gopher, Thomomys talpoides, appears to be an exception) makes this bittering agent ideal for discouraging browsing by deer and crib biting by horses.

• Denatonium Benzoate (Powder) packed in 25 Kg Drums.
• Denatonium Benzoate packed in Hydrosoluble bags (1Kg Powder per bag) in a carton containing 25 bags.
• Denatonium Benzoate solutions in Monoethylene Glycol or Ethanol are packed in 250 Kg drums.

Denatonium benzoate solution in alcohol (absolute ethanol), is available diluted even to 50 parts per million of Denatonium benzoate in Absolute Ethanol.

Since we can offer such dilute solutions, blending of this special solutions makes the task of handling powder, non essential.

The Denatonium benzoate solution in alcohol is available in barrels (250 kgs) or in ISO containers.

Denatonium benzoate solution in alcohol is available in concentrations from 20 % Denatonium benzoate solution in Ethanol to 50 parts per million(ppm) Denatonium benzoate in ethanol.
